The Lighthouse Boys took the stage tonight, for an electrifying performance, and a spirit filled evening.  The group was refreshed and had a wonderful night in the lord.  Also, the three original founding members performed a three song set with just a guitar, including one song that has not been performed in several years.

“How many would like to hear, our very first song.” said Mark Underwood.  “He does all this for Me,” was the song he was referring to which was written in 1973 and was included on The Lighthouse Boys self titled debut album in 1980; tonight the song was welcomed back into their set.  “We’ve gone so long without those songs in our lineup.  we will have to put some of those songs back in.” said Stephen.

The Lighthouse Boys fulfilled this booking despite taking a break from the road.

The Lighthouse Boys were welcomed to the stage with a nice reception at the Peoria Baptist Church in Arizona Friday Night, The evening was hosted by John Edmonds who performed as well. The concert was to be the kick off concert for their Coast to Coast Tour this year, they decided to keep the concert scheduled when the rest of the tour had canceled.  Many of the people there were delighted and thrilled to hear the guys perform songs from their 27 year catalog of music. Steve Johnson was not able to make the trip due to an illness.

After the concert southern gospel fans swarmed around the product table to thank the group for being there.

(Bakersfield, CA) The Lighthouse Boys performed at their Home Church.  Full Gospel Lighthouse in Bakersfield, CA is where The Lighthouse Boys originated from in 1974, members of the group have been going their most of their lives.

Bill was originally scheduled to just preach this morning, but members of the church congregation said that they would like to hear the group again.

The Lighthouse Boys performed at His Vineyard Pentecostal Church of God. The Church is always included in The Lighthouse Boys tour plans from year to year, sometimes even twice a year, as always the Lord moves and has something special there.  This time was no exception, The Lord has been doing a great work in this ministry and The Lighthouse Boys always makes it known that it’s for God’s purpose why they continue.

Looking out to the congregation there were people that were singing along, with just about every song that the group was singing, including some of the older songs.  But probably the most important thing that took place that Morning was the moving of God, as people begin to come up for prayer.

People there were reported saying “This is the best we’ve ever Heard the Group.”

The Lighthouse Boys bus rolled in to Modesto, CA Sunday Morning on July 22, 2001 at Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church..The group performed a list of their most loved songs from the past 27 years. The lord moved as people began to come up for prayer, this has been one of many things that has been seen this year and it is definitely a great highlight.

Later that evening, The Lighthouse Boys was in Stockton, CA at River of Life Church, the group came in with a strong performance and another move from God. The Songs from both services are listed below.

Monday June 18 and Tuesday June 19

The Lighthouse Boys, a longtime gospel group, are booked for two performances, 7 p.m, Monday and Tuesday.

Many of the featured speakers and performers made special scheduling arrangements so they could participate in the Camp Meeting 2001, Blanton said.“We had people who were very willing to switch dates just to help us out,” he said.

“we’re not a very big group up here, but the man we work for is very large and he obviously wanted us to carry this on and if he still does, then we would love to make Camp Meeting an annual event.”

Other guests that week were, The Harrisons, and many other great preachers.  The Regents were scheduled to perform however they could not make the event.

(Bakersfield, CA), The Regents of Southern California, The Lighthouse Boys, The Curtsingers and The Roberts performed together at Rosedale Pentecostal Church of God today.  People also enjoyed music from Pastor Mark Roberts and his Church Choir.

The Lighthouse Boys performed a few of their songs mostly favorites that have often been requested.  However the funniest moment in the concert had to have been, when Billy Brisendine (Regents) asked Mark Underwood if his hair was real.  At the end of the concert, all the groups joined together on stage, in the concert that night was “Golden State’s” tenor and former member of The Lighthouse Boys, Tim Williams.

The Lighthouse Boys performed this morning and evening at Trinity Life Chapel in Bakersfield, CA. This weekend was The Lighthouse Boys first full weekend since being off of a heavy schedule for a few months during Bill Underwood’s recovery from his bypass surgery in December.

People were delighted as the group took the stage and performed songs from their latest recording “Golden Classics 2” all the way back from their debut self titled album in 1980. Bill preached in both services.  This morning the Lighthouse Boys were happy to have with them, the Curtsingers from Visalia, CA.  And this evening Denis Curtsinger (who is cousin to Doyle Curtsinger of the Buckaroos) stayed to sing some more and play guitar as The Lighthouse Boys took time away from their tracks to perform a couple of songs live.  Stephen said from the stage “We haven’t performed with live music in about 6 months.”
