The Lighthouse Boys came out of 2014 celebrating their 40th year. They are known to their fans for their own brand of Southern Gospel Music, placing their own signature on Southern Gospel classics as well as their own original songs. Now in 2015, From Heaven’s Point of View is The first new single released by The Lighthouse Boys in over a decade. They once again blend their signature sound with a Southern Gospel classic

Steve Johnson, Bill Underwood and Stephen Underwood of The Lighthouse Boys sat down with Rob Patz from SGNScoops.com at the 2012 Great Western Fan Festival in Visalia, CA to talk about everything from their history to their ministry and music.
On Sunday, April 22nd, The Lighthouse Boys will be performing at the Faith Temple located at 1227 Park Drive in Bakersfield, California. The performance will begin at 6pm.
The Lighthouse Boys are Bakersfield’s longest performing Christian artists, for more than 37 years they have been entertaining people with their gospel music. Bakersfield is home to performers like Tommy Collins and Buck Owens. Currently, The Lighthouse Boys have a new record in production and are appearing in various locations throughout the 2012 year. While some define successful musical artists by how many platinum records they sell around the world, while others, like The Lighthouse Boys, recognize it as being in the grace of “God”, ready willing and able to do “Gods” will. This group was started by Make Underwood and Steve Johnson back in 1974 and for more than 35 years they have been entertaining fans, church congregations, and concert goers that return time and time again just to hear their wonderful sound. This group has appeared in many magazines, newspapers, and church bulletins. They have a sound that is to be remembered for a lifetime. As winners of the “Californian’s Choice Award for Best Band”, they are known far and wide, for their classic Southern Gospel style.

The Lighthouse Boys appeared on the Frontier stage at the 2010 Kern County Fair, it was the 30th Anniversary of their first appearance at the event which originaly took place in the Grandstands. Mark Underwood, Bill Underwood and Ken Edwards (who were all three in the band in 1980), Original founding member Steve Johnson who just recently returned, long time member Stephen Underwood on Drums and Tommy Smith on Bass all performed a set of fan favorites..

BT announced the winners from 21 different categories at the BT Digital Music Awards ceremony in London at Camden’s Roundhouse on September 30th. TheLighthouseBoys.com were among the many nominated world wide for the “People’s Choice Award for best official website”. However the award went to the official website for English rock band MUSE.

The article announces The Lighthouse Boys first appearance at the Kern County Fair “Gospel Day at the Grandstands.” That was 30 years ago this year. On October 2nd, 2010, The Lighthouse Boys will return to “Gospel Day” at the Kern County Fair for the 5th Time.
The concert will be held at the Frontier Stage. Details will be posted at the Kern County Fair official website.
Classic Members, Mark Underwood, Bill Underwood, Ken Edwards, Stephen Underwood and newer member Tommy Smith appeared on stage at the Visalia Convention Center, Visalia, CA during the Great Western Fan Festival “Best of the West” set on Friday April 30th. The Lighthouse Boys played a number of fan favorites, The Lighthouse Boys also released their new compilation “Midnight Cry: The Lighthouse Boys Essential Collection” at the event. This was The Lighthouse Boys eighth apperance at the festival. The Lighthouse Boys have regrouped with members Mark & Bill Underwood, Ken Edwards, Stephen Underwood and Tommy Smith for most of this year.
